Preparation For Upcoming Events (9/28/2020)

This past week in ISM was dedicated to making sure we were ready to enter the application-part of ISM. We had to write up an official Topic Proposal, in which I discussed my interest in law, specifically prosecution law. This was an easy assignment for me, as I am able to easily write about why I am interested in law and skills I have already that would help me in that certain field. I discussed how I have had an interest in law since I was in fifth grade, and over the years have done a significant amount of research on it. I also explained my interest in my law related classes I take at the CTE center and also how I am able to stand up for what I believe in while not caring what others think about me for doing that. Another thing we went over in class in much detail was how we are going to start containing professionals soon, and how to set up interviews with them. Coach Goff gave me the contact information for two ISM alumni, one in law school and one currently working with a non-profit legal help organization. I plan on contacting them in the next week or so, but I know I need to slightly change a few of my interview questions before I actually conduct the interview. I know that we have to create a contact list consisting of 30 professionals, so that’s also what I plan on focusing on this next week. Additionally, my Original Work Proposal is due next week, and I have a few ideas regarding that which I need to research. Overall, this week I got a lot of preparation and have excitement building up for the weeks to come.
